Day 173: Park Bridge

Day 173: Park Bridge

It was beautiful today, so I went over to the local park at lunch and it was packed. I did get a shot of a couple of little girls, Lilly and Hanna, playing on one of the bridges. I could have stayed outside all day but work pulled me back.

Day 169: Hand n Hand

Day 169: HandNHand

Today was a beautiful day, a great day to go for a walk with someone you love. I was walking with the person I'm in love with while photographing a couple in love. Isn't my job great! Ok, is that too much love in one post. Anyway we had a great time photographing an engagement session so I used a nice hand holding shot for my pic of the day.

Day 166: Jamie

Five years ago today I married this beautiful lady pictured above. She is my best friend, my business partner, my dance partner, my "number one" (a little Star Trek joke there), my prayer partner and my lover. I'm so blessed and thankful to have her as my wife. Happy Anniversary baby, I love you!

Day 157: Red Drop

Today I decided to play with water and hot sauce. Timing was key, I had to let the drop start to fall then click the camera shutter just as it hit the water in the glass. I like the red drop at the top of the little water fountain.

Day 154: Question

Day 154: Question

While photographing a marriage retreat today I noticed a card on one of the tables with the question, "If you could sit down with God and ask one question, what would it be?"
I think first I would have to ask Him for is the ability to comprehend His answers. My minds just doesn't have the ability to fathom things that to God are simple answers.

Day 153: Lego Lighting

Day 153: Lego Lighting1

I decide to play with a little flash today. I used a few hot shoe flashes to light Mr.Red Hat here. One flash to camera left shot through an umbrella, one to camera right snooted with a red gel, and one with a blue gel to light the background.

Below is the same shot using only the ambient light of the room.

I like the first photograph much better. Oh yea and just in case you were wondering, both photos are straight out of camera.

Lacy getting used to riding in the car. Starting with a trip around the block and she did very well. Before long she will be able to go on vacation with us. Maybe one day we will train her to carry camera lenses in a special doggy backpack and she could be our assistant during photography sessions.

Day 149: Sunrise Rings

Day 149: Sunrise Rings

We met our Bride and Groom on the beach this morning for a sunrise shoot. Here is a shot of the rings as we were leaving. The session was great, but man was it cold. It was about 34 degrees and we did wade out into the water a little while shooting. I have no problem doing what ever it takes to get a great photograph.
