I don't have many opportunities to photograph snow, living in Georgia, but today was my chance.

Day 89: Ice Crystals

Ice crystals form next to a small stream. Not something you see everyday in Georgia.

Photography Tip: Wear comfortable shoes. I know it's not really an equipment or technical tip, but it's one you will thank me for if you go on many photowalks.

Day 88: Dog Tracking

A dog really made a lasting impression; in the sidewalk that is.

Photography Tip: Look in all direction when out photographing. There could be a great photograph above or below you, so make sure to look all around.

Day 87: Blue Edged Rose

Lindsey added food coloring to the water of this white rose to change the edges to blue.

Photography Tip: Know Your Camera. A good way to learn more about your camera is to read the manual with the camera next to you. It will give you a chance to pick up the camera and see exactly what the manual is talking about. If you're like me will not make it very far in the manual before you run off to try something new you learned.

Day 86: Architectural Angles

The top of Cobb Galleria Mall, there was a bridal show there today.

Inspiration: I looked at images of the photographers at the local bridal show I attended today.

Photography Tip: Look at other photographers work.

Day 85: As the Crow Flies

I snapped the shutter just as the crow was taking off from the power lines.

Inspiration: Looked through prints at Hobby Lobby

Photo Tip: Take at least one photograph everyday.

Day 84: Fence Post

Something caught my eye about this section of fence while I was walking today. Maybe it's the angle of the wood, the shadows from the trees behind it, or the fact that the post is still standing even though the rails are falling down. That reminds me that we all have fence posts in life. The rails represent our journey through life and the post would be something or someone the changes the path or supports us as we go.
As we start a new year, think back to the posts in your life that brought you to where you are now, and look forward to new ones in the future. Happy New Year everyone!
